Given how big the council is, there's a decent chance there are enough by-election opportunities for the Greens to take overall control at some point. Or depending on how their administration go down, opportunities for the opposition. Brighton went well for them. Both times

Labour do seem to be setting up for a similar campaign strategy as Brighton where everything the minority Green administration did (and plenty they didn't) was attacked by the opposition as evidence of how terrible the Greens were. It worked very well for Labour in Brighton but in Bristol its likely we have a Labour government soon that might have a really short honeymoon period. The circumstances here might lend themselves to a gain (a big ask though). I would think it more likely that the 2024 locals is the high tide mark for the Greens in Bristol, at least for the next few years.

Are you saying they attacked the Greens even if by some miracle they came with a sensible and/or popular proposal?

Are you saying they attacked the Greens even if by some miracle they came with a sensible and/or popular proposal? Somewhat unlikely! A surge of new councillors coming in to control an authority with no experience could prove a challenge?

Given how big the council is, there's a decent chance there are enough by-election opportunities for the Greens to take overall control at some point. It would only require Vittori's seat and one other gain.
