Watching Sky News and the Lib Dems are claiming victory already in an interview with Christine Jardine - that confident they have won and by a large amount.

Isn't there a saying 'If you want a fast election result find a Lib Dem with a laptop.'
Sarah Dyke will (I believe) become the 100th MP first elected on a Liberal Democrat ticket.

We have a winner for the best bar chart of this campaign! That isn't a bar chart. It's a pie chart.

The question is will the Lib Dem Dyke get more votes than Con Warburton last time?

The question is will the Lib Dem Dyke get more votes than Con Warburton last time? Surely that would be next to impossible with a 44% turnout? Unless you're talking about vote share rather than number of votes.

I'm talking actual votes - the issue is if there are 30k Tory general election votes and 22k Lib Dem by-election votes then holding is somewhat more difficult as per 1997.

Right, well since Warburton got 36,000 last time, and only around 38,000 people turned out this time, I'd say that has to be somewhat unlikely.

Does anybody know what the turnout is? I don’t want to be told that it’s 44.23%
