One in Blantyre and two in Hamilton (which both appear to be just outside the constituency). Well outside - one is in Malawi and the other in Ontario.

Almost entirely irrelevant, but I've always thought the naming of the "Recall of MPs Act" was rather sloppy for using an initialism in its official title. Are there any other examples of this? NHS Funding Act 2020 Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Act 2020 HGV Road User Levy Act 2013

No doubt Margaret Ferrier is hoping that with the statutory period for signing the recall petition being between 20 June and 31 July, enough of her constituents will be on holiday such that the 10% threshold will not be passed. Not a chance! She may also be hoping that the political ground has shifted and getting on a train with a cold is no longer seen as any more scandalous than showing bare ankles.

Scotland was much more supportive of COVID-19 restrictions than England. Pardon?

As it happens, I was watching a documentary about Kathleen Ferrier just last night, but I am struggling to see the connection with Rutherglen

Jocelyn Pook did an interesting composition combining Pie Jesu and Blow The Wind Southerly, sampling Ferrier and adding Melanie Pappenheim.

I do wonder whether political ennui means that it might be quite difficult to achieve the numbers for recall. After all it takes some effort to sign the recall petition.

I don't see any obvious reason why the "ennui" here should be significantly greater than in Peterborough or Brecon and Radnor.
And the one (narrow) failure to recall, in North Antrim, was largely due to the minimal number of signing places - that also shouldn't be a problem here.
