James Mason (ex-Radcliffe First, Radcliffe East ward, Bury) will be disqualified on 12th April for non-attendance. He was due for re-election in May so there will be no by-election.

Opinions may vary but I think being pursued through the mean streets of Bolton, exploited by everyone he came across, and finally gunned down by the ruthless police… is a bit harsh punishment for not turning up to council meetings. |

I lived, and voted, in this ward for 6 years, at a time when the idea of a Conservative councillor would have been seen as remote. |

Sunderland, Ryhope (2024). Usman Ali (Independent elected as Conservative) has been removed from the list of councillors. No bylection, and not restanding.

Dudley, Upper Gornal & Woodsetton (2024). Adrian Hughes (Independent elected as Labour) has been removed from the list of councillors. No byelection, and not restanding.
