When I've given a specific cause (resigned/died/disqualified etc) it means I've found some sort of confirmation of the cause. "ceased to be a councillor" is when either a councillor has been removed from the website or a seat is explicitly marked as vacant, but I can't evidence of the reason.

Thanks, got it. I did look there but they seem to have hidden it under the Mendip area despite Castle Cary being in South Somerset :/
