It would be quite the comeback if they overtook Syriza next time round. Combined with a possible revival for Scottish Labour, could we be seeing the demise of "Pasokification"? Is it not arguable that we are seeing pasokification of different parties, with previously pasokified parties replacing them? The term becomes too broad to be meaningful in that case. It becomes a floccinaucinihilipasokification

The handful badly translated Greek articles I've found make their leader sound more imbecile than actively rightist, but they're certainly not left in any way or form. Populist/NOTA vote I suppose. No, Victory ("Nike") is - as its name suggests - proPutin-nationalists. Not sure, whether their economical position is more liberal ("libertarian") or socialist ("populist"). Yeah, makes sense.

With Mitsotakis Jr.'s centrism appealing to urbanites Greece is - like Portugal, with which it has several things in common - a place, where the infamous Global Trends have been rebuked.

Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης transliteratates as Kuriakos Metsotakes, so why is it written in Latin script as Kyriakos Mitsotakis? I appreciate the lack of a 'y' equivalent in Greek and that pronunciation of the upsilon in Kyriakos makes that sound but what is the reason for substituting 'i' for the eta in the surname?

Yes - it's Greek, not Ancient Greek and that letter is thus called ita. The only reason you might want to transliterate it ē is if you care more about reversibility than about readability or pronunciation. Which may be entirely legit depending on yr purpose, and at least one of the umpteen standard transliterations for Greek does that! Y of course started life as υ in Greek loanwords in western texts, and its name in many western languages still reflects that.

A snap election will be held next month since no party could form a coalition, even with the 50-seat bonus.
Is Greece going to end up like Bulgaria in this regard?

There was no 50 seat bonus at the last election. A coalition could probably have been formed, but with the return of the bonus at the coming election, New Democracy had no interest in forming one.

Some of the Graun articles on this election are hilarious. Including one outraged piece that basically complains that people are voting for Mitsotakis purely because they think he's done a good job.

All in except MeRA25 (=Mr.Varoufakis, Syriza's financeMinister). As expected, momentum for Spartiates.
