I'm fully prepared for this to get no response but here we go.
I'm always fascinated by what ballot papers in different countries look like as parts of each country's unique election processes. This is a thread for anyone who's interested to post examples, samples, links to images etc. or to share experiences of voting on a non-UK ballot paper

India uses electronic voting machines for all state and national elections. You can get more info here: eci.gov.in/evm/.

I notice that as well as a party description they have a candidate desciption. "Six foot tall, dark hair, athletic".

We used to here. I formerly had a ballot paper featuring 'Michael Foot, Journalist' and 'Joan Vickers, Spinster.'

Apologies for liking a few old posts - do we have any French examples? France uses the other system. The one where you choose a ballot paper with the candidate of your choice, rather than make a check against their name on a paper listing all candidates. Israel does the same thing, I don't know who else.

This certainly explains why there are at least a few candidates who receive 0 votes in the first round-this never happens in UK parliamentary elections.

The whether-or-not of getting 0 votes or not has got nothing to do with the design of the ballot paper. It might have something to do with the ease (or otherwise) of being nominated as a candidate in the first place.

If you don't print ballots, people cannot vote for you, unless you bring a pre-printed ballot from home.

Or does it have to be all or none?

They can choose how many they print and even where they will be, to some degree (the usual example of that is Breton nationalists only sending ballots in parts of Loire-Atlantique that are culturally Breton). The local prefecture delivers them, but the candidate can also deliver themselves (it happened to Lutte Ouvrière in Hérault this time, where the ballots were delivered late, so the party had to try to deliver them to every mayor.
