Manchester elects reporting that Chorlton is between Labour, Lib Dems and Green with other votes very low (though earlier they quoted the Greens as being disappointed). Local fields apparently a big local issue

City Council twitter feed confirms, but no details until tomorrow apparently Labour got 852 in Kirkdale, 604 in Anfield and 787 in Clubmoor. Those look like pretty low turnouts.

Yes, don't think they were necessarily saying it was very close, but that the greens and lib dems were competitive. They also quoted a Labour source as being confident. Be nice to know soon

The independents clearly have a bit more about them than I gave them credit for.

I like this one personally "we were just following the Green Party National Strategy"
Manchester Elects (@mcrelects) Tweeted: Chorlton (Manchester) by-election update:
🌻 Green Party source: “We knew Chorlton would be a tough hill to climb. We’re been focusing resources elsewhere in line with the Green Party national strategy.”

Labour have won the other two Liverpool seats, although they aren't publishing the full results until tomorrow. ”Publishing”? What on Earth is going on? If they know the number of votes for the winning candidates, they must have counted the votes already. What about a normal declaration? What about the people at the count? They must know. Hasn’t anybody tweeted anything or texted anybody?
