Small factoid: Peter Cranie was top of the Green list for the Euros in 2009, and fell just short: the final seat in the NW region instead went to the BNP & Nick Griffin. (132,194 vs 127,133) Everybody here knows that because he was actually a regular poster on the predecessor site at the time. Meanwhile I assume Steve Fitzsimmons is the former Conservative councillor who was the last to be elected in the city (in 1994 IIRC) and who defected to the Lib Dems a few years back Everyone that's been active here for a decade?

WEST DEVON DC; Bere Ferrers (Lib Dem resigned) Candidates: BLACKMAN, Angela (Conservative) MACIEJOWSKA, Judy Sara (Green) REED, Graham Richard (Liberal Democrat) SAXBY, Isabel Angela (Labour)
Judy Maciejowska used to be a leading Green figure in Richmond-upon-Thames and was both a parliamentary & a local candidate. I knew her quite well & actually sold her a clarinet quite a number of years ago. I had wondered where she had gone, this answers that particular question.

I think he defected to labour 2011 or 2012, he stood in St Michael's ward for Labour in 2015 and 2016.

She moved down to Devon quite a few years ago, returning to her south-western roots.

I think there should be a bonus point in the prediction competition for anyone who has ever sold a musical instrument to one of the candidates.

A clarinet is just so commonplace, why couldn't it have been a piano accordion, a banjolele or a Wagner tuba?

If I had realised that there was going to be a competition about it, I might have sold a foghorn to Nigel Farage.
