Presented without comment: Can I be the first to ask how there were “three Labour candidates” for one seat?

Norfolk County Council would appear to be counting tomorrow: South Tyneside, Knaresborough definitely counting tonight, but I can’t see any action on Twitter from either Basildon or Bassetlaw. I think Bassetlaw is tomorrow, so just Knaresborough to come tonight.

"South Tyneside" really is a bloodless name for a borough.

There’s a not very active local newspaper reporter, @jwebsterldr at the Knaresborough count.

Perhaps not - Jay Potts' sister is divorced from John Robertson.

The Lib Dem’s have easily won a Town council election in Scriven Park so a LD gain for the district council seat looks almost inevitable.

Not even a particularly strongly Hindu area (~1%), and even less so Jewish (~0.5%). Labour don't even have the excuse of being in government and having to make difficult decisions that annoy people. I wonder what the brave knight of Holborn can do to reconnect with ordinary people in normal counties like Essex.
