One here today. Haversham-cum-Little Linford: 249 in favour, 33 against.
A 43.78% turnout is pretty respectable.

I've done a periodic check for any neighbourhood plans rejected at referendum, as it's proving an unusual event. I've found www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/witherleyplan which was rejected by a big margin May. Looks like there were disputes over the process followed to create the plan, and the examiner threw out an allocated 15 housing units in a specific area in the hope of 118 units anywhere within the plan area - essentially gutting the plan.

There was a big referendum on the neighbourhood plan in Biddulph yesterday.
Result now in. Electorate 15,673; BPs issued 1,540; turnout 9.83%. Spoiled ballots 2 (voting for both options), 2 (writing or mark identifying voter), 8 (unmarked or void for uncertainty).
Yes 1,338 (87.6%) No 190
(A separate vote on a Neighbourhood Development Order, allowing the upper floors of properties on Biddulph High Street to become enterprise space, was also passed with 1,365 Yes votes and 176 No.)

I was at a civic event in MK today, and spoke with the Deputy Mayor of Beaconsfield, a very pleasant lady.
She mentioned they were about to hold a referendum on their neighbourhood plan. Not exciting in itself but 2 things raised my interest: 1-the referendum is on Monday not Thursday. Not sure why but if you are trying to design a low turnout then that‘s how to do it? 2-there is an organised and vocal ‚NO‘ campaign, based on being against new housing. Experience says that‘s often an indication the vote could be a interesting.
Might be one to watch perhaps - and a test of Labour‘s „just build“ mantra.

Not sure the day of the week makes too much difference. In a lot of NPRs, postal votes make up the majority of the votes cast. Without PVs I dread to think what the turnout would be like. Having been on the electoral role for over 25 years, the only election I've not voted in has been an NPR. Because I forgot about it, and I don't have a postal. The fact I'd written and delivered my party's leaflets in favour of the plan makes it all the more remarkable.
