I'm totally opposed to preference systems. If they are the only option I'd favour staying with FPTP. 'Staying' with FPTP?.. we were talking about Senedd which doesnt have FPTP. Maybe this is in wrong thread.... I wouldn't back moving to STV. If Labour have any sense they won't either.

Dwyfor, Dinefwr. Looks kinda similar and I suppose it looks VERY similar if you can't read (ie know how to pronounce) it.

My try: I'm afraid I must point out that your seat named "Conwy" doesn't actually contain Conwy town itself (which is located in Caernarvon(sic), I note), and whilst Deganwy and Llandudno Junction are officially part of the Conwy Community area, I don't think most people outside of the politically aware see it like that.

I quite like the look of your North Wales, but does the seat you've named Conwy actually include the town of Conwy?

I'll give it a go.
North Wales.
I'm pretty happy with it to be honest. I'm unsure on Meirionnydd and Montgomeryshire (more mid) which is a bit of an abomination. Meirionnydd is probably better paired with Ceredigion, but this might be the best reasonable option. West Wales Again I am pretty happy. Again Powys is being a little difficult.
Edit: Hmm.. Powys and the south I think I am going to rethink.

All the MPs in Wales, is the answer to that question. Though they're far more nervous than excited.

During the zombie review no Commission wanted to know, so it's an improvement that they're mentioning the site now.

In case people are not aware, MPs and parties will receive the details (embargoed) from midday tomorrow (Tuesday). The embargo is lifted at midnight Tuesday/Wednesday.

Why on earth are MPs, less still parties, given advanced notice? I mean its not like 1 day will make any difference to re-selections.

Giving it parties does seem more odd - is only to the parties that have MPs, or is to every party registered to contest elections in Wales? Do they get to see the whole of Wales or just the bits covering constituencies they currently hold?

I can't answer in relation to which parties receive the details.
In the case of England, MPs received details of the areas which constituted their current constituency. I think the process will be similar for Wales but I am not certain.

It not only affects MPs but they are likely to be asked for their response pretty immediately. It’s obviously better if the MP has time to think about it.

Taken me ages to work out how to post an image. This is hard work. Hope the BCW do a better job than me. I should probably have tried splitting wards but I'm not a fan. Seat 7 here (and my name) probably gives away my hidden agenda - keeping all the wards in the Aberdare area in one constituency! Doubt that will happen. I also wanted to avoid having any seats consisting of wards from more than 2 local authorities but I've failed on at least 3 occasions. Cardiff West here for a start: And Llanelli & Amman Valley here: And the ridiculously sprawling seat 25 (almost as large as its name): My knowledge of the north Wales coast (and Flintshire in particular) is not good:
