E-Thot Gabbard as possible Intelligence Director? Farewell Five Eyes, hello Eight (at least) Eyes until it's hello Four Eyes instead... Hopefully MI6 and GCHQ will be careful not to share anything. It’s also a bit concerning that she will have hire and fire powers. Frankly, I wouldn’t trust her not to hire her fellow Putinists and Assadists.

Who had the daft idea of setting up such a stunt like that? You can't blame Hegseth himself for not being able to aim properly. They set it up without having proper safeguards or a safe location.

I have Joe Exotic down for fish and wildlife post pardon.
Perhaps Donald can hide behind people facing more charges than himself 😂

Gabbard is going to be a bloody tough confirmation in the Senate. Will GOP senators be prepared to block many nominees given the size of Trump's mandate?

Not sure if anyone had this on their bingo card. Is Jeanine Pirro going to be the next SCOTUS pick?

Gabbard is going to be a bloody tough confirmation in the Senate. Will GOP senators be prepared to block many nominees given the size of Trump's mandate? I suspect they are willing to defer to him for relatively minor positions but Gabbard for DNI and Gaetz for AG? These are just crazy picks that wouldn't get half a dozen GOP votes in a secret ballot. This probably also ends any idea that the Senate will accept Trump's demands to allow him to make recess appointments.

I do wonder if he’s even trying to test the Senate’s limits. I know it’s unsurprising that he’ll be nominating people expected to be far more loyal than his picks first time around, but the Gaetz one and probably Gabbard as well just seem really out there

If he requests that the House adjourns and the Senate says no, that would give Trump the opportunity to step in, as outlined in this thread below??

Talk about "dictator on day one" Our old friend unitary executive theory. He’d rather not consult the Senate. Trump is not an absolute monarch.
