Two New York Democratic State Senators, James Skoufis and Brad Hoylman, have introduced SB 437. It would move the New York presidential primary from April to late June, so that the primary for other office would be combined with the presidential primary.
Ironically, if the bill were enacted, it would conflict with Republican and Democratic national rules, which do not permit presidential primaries later than the first week of June.
In 2020, New York held presidential primaries in late June, and the national parties overlooked the rules transgression. New York had cancelled its presidential primaries in 2020, but then the state courts had ruled the cancellation was unlawful, so they were held late.

rockefeller - I understand the enthusiasm from Mr Neidle, but as a 35yr+ professional UK accountant I'm afraid that this is quite common for private companies, especially those that are poorly managed. It is unlikely to result in any action against the Director unless the failure is for an extended time (many months or more than a year). I wouldn’t totally discount Mr Neidle, he’s the guy that’s just got Nadhim Zahawi to cough up millions, and potentially getting his solicitors disciplined, in tax relating to the formation of YouGov.

If Jesus gets to decide who is President, might as well scrap the election then!

Hawaii State Representative John Mizuno has introduced HB 342, a bill for a study of a presidential primary. Hawaii is one of the very few states that has never held government-administered presidential primaries. The only other such states are Iowa, Nevada, North Dakota, and Wyoming

If Jesus gets to decide who is President, might as well scrap the election then! My grandmother doesn't vote because she believes god will decide for us. (She's a christadelphian). Being a christadelphian obviously she makes that distinction between god and jesus (the latter not being god).

Robert Reich - is Biden a viable candidate for 2024?
(a) Has he done a good job? Qualified yes (b) Should he run if he wants to? Yes (c) If not Biden, who? Impossible to know now (d) Will Biden be the best candidate to beat Trump (or whoever)? Doubtful (e) Would he be a capable leader in his mid 80s? No

All a fair summary i would say.
Wouldnt be comfortable with an aging Biden going into 2024, Hopefully a suitable successor will thrust themselves forward over the coming months!

(e) Would he be a capable leader in his mid 80s? NoYou’re confusing me with the wording of that list. Are the questions and/or answers referring to Reich? Or to Biden? It looks as if d and e are about Biden, but the rest about Reich. Or both. Or neither?

Yes that was my initial reading too. Of course he has never held an elected position IIRC, but that never seemed to do Eisenhower too much harm.

(e) Would he be a capable leader in his mid 80s? NoWith regards to: (d) Will Biden be the best candidate to beat Trump (or whoever)?? Doubtful. I'd agree, but he'd also be far from the worst candidate as well. There's no way I could see the likes of Kamala Harris, for example, beating Trump or DeSantis.
