Things moving very quickly. The pressure on Biden to stand aside is growing too large for him to resist.

Lammy certainly isn't thick, but he does say thick things more than the average for a politician. I don't know why he says thick things, because he isn't thick, but he still says them. And unfortunately for him they're often memorably thick, like his white smoke comment or the sociopathic neo-Nazi comment. I have said repeatedly that Lammy isn't thick because I know his background and just have no explanation for how such an intelligent person's propensity to say thick things. Other people know little about his background and only see him say thick things. Drawing that conclusion, without knowing about his background isn't racist - it's logical. Most people who say thick things are actually thick whatever the colour of their skin. Lammy says the things he says because he is an adherent of identity politics and a believer in critical race theory He IS actually thick critical race theory is valid. Scots and Irish areas

Yikes. I'm glad I've only bet on Democrats winning the rust belt states, and not Biden specifically.

I am aware of this motorway whine. It disregards the reality that to serve a catholic area, the motorway must first go through a proddie area, also it disregards that the motorway is unsurprisingly in more densely populated areas and not in sparsely populated areas.
But y'know. Always the victims

More parallels with 1968. Chicago DNC? Yep? RFK running? Check. But Biden isn't Lyndon B. Johnson and shouldn't stand aside. FDR got re-elected in 1944 after all.

Scots and Irish areas Utterly shocking to see motorways and railways largely serving Belfast and its extensive commuter belt rather than the sparsely populated west of the province.

The full Obama quote is "seriously consider the viability of his candidacy" - no way would Obama directly call for him to withdraw.

Part of me, and not the better part, wants Biden to stubbornly stay to see what they pull out next

Part of me, and not the better part, wants Biden to stubbornly stay to see what they pull out next It's so funny how Biden's biggest backers are now *checks notes* squad members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush and Ilhan Omar, and not Obama or Schumer.

I'd expect to see Harris take over as President very soon. Joe has insisted publicly that he will be the Democratic nominee and only God or a 'medical condition' would compel him to bow out...well now good chance he has the latter and if you believe in such things, God seems to be on the side of his opponent

Mysterious ways etc

I have a theory thatnthe Democratic Party has the right candidates in the wrong order. Biden should have won when he first tried in 1980-or-90-something (whenever it was). In 2016 Obama could have defeated Trump, so Hillary Clinton should have been President from 2009-2017 before handing over to Obama.

critical race theory is valid. Scots and Irish areas That map may show discrimination. It doesn't have anything to do with CRT No. As a trained social scientist it is clear to me this is a fine example of CRT in action, a finer example would be the Popery Act of 1704 which destroyed Irish land ownership and tenure through the enforced abandonment of the laws of premagenature and allowed for the British to gain control of 97% of arable land. The Free state reversed this and by 1929 the Irish owned 97%
