According to andrewteale Preview the count doesn’t start until 1pm. The count starts at 1, results expected ‘from 4pm’ Almost as bad as Nevada. If you are going to have a next day count, at least start at 9am. Democracy delayed is democracy denied.

Awaiting full results for the Independents and Libertarian but confirmed as SNP win (47%) with Conservatives in second (20%), Labour third (12%) and Finlayson (10.5%) best of the rest. Apparently the Libertarian candidate knocked out at first stage after a coin toss tiebreak to decide the lowest number of votes.

Apart from the psephological interest, of course.

Changed days. Labour used to get around 70 / 80% of the vote in Kincorth / Nigg "back in the day" Although Cove wouldn't have been included back then where Labour has few votes

And a significant part of the former Labour vote wants independence? potentially, or people are sick of SLAB shenanigans. You don't get that sort of shift on those grounds alone. Elections appear to be about lines on maps, and that alone. Look at the shenanigans in the SNP? Makes no difference.

Look at the shenanigans in the SNP? Makes no difference. well there Shenanigans have actually lead to anything just yet Mike, But I sense they are building up to a crescendo. SO who know what might happen if its revealed Nicola was told don't proceed with the Salmond case and she did so anyway. The second point I would make, pinch of salt here, but the opinion polls so slightly seem to be out of sink with the 2 by elections we've had, I would say slightly over estimating the SNP, and slightly underestimating the Cons and the Labs.
