Few months before the GE local elections have been taking place today:

Brasov: 50/60 USR+, 30/16 PNL, 5/10 ProRo (exPSD), 16/14 PSD

Constanta: 25/39/36 PNL, 24/32/35 PSD, 22/16/14 USR+

SatuMare: 58 USR+

Timis: 40 PNL, 30 USR+ (from July)

It is, but the massive clientelism definitely helps.  It's definitely another party that is closer to a criminal conspiracy.

I didn't mean with "sisters" the exCommunists and their "leftliberal" sucessors (LDS aso.), but the official SocialDemocrats, who get usually ~10%.

PSD seemed to be totally dead this time, but the local elections were already not so terrific for them and now look at this:

One OpinionPoll was an internal one conducted for PMP, so lots of salt is needed, which applies also for the second one from an unknown pollster - but still.
It would be not the first time, that PSD recovered from a short break in opposition.

There can't be many people across the spectrum who are fond of the PSD. "Organised criminal group" is the phrase that springs to mind. I'm amazed that they are still in the PES. Not that the others are vastly better. Better, though, undeniably so.
