What is "EMs"? Certainly not East Midlands? Ethnic minorities. I don't like the term much so I try to disguise it with EMs. At least it's semantically and syntactically correct, in contrast to the abomination BAME.

But an increasingly crude grouping of very diverse minorities. The voting preferences of some minorities in the UK are becoming much less emphatic than they were.

Yes definitely explains why seats like Harrow East are as safe Tory as they are and the Tory gains in the WMs in '19.

I wonder if someone can create a new target list based on the notional majorities on the new boundaries. Electoral calculus have a click able map which tell you the notional 2019 majority in every seat www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/boundaries2023.htmlp

This is the sort of thing I used to do a lot. Maybe we could do it together if you like.

Another stumbling block for Labour is that they used to be able to 'bank' on around 50 seats in Scotland, now they aren't guaranteed any. Mind you, if the SNP carry on as they are at present, I can see Labour winning some back in 2024 just like they did in 2017
