I am not sure how to deal with the unprecedented (as far as I know) tie for second place in September.
The alternatives seem to be to 'divide the spoils' as in gold tournaments, or 'share the podium' as in the Olympics and award two 'silver medals', as it were.
There is no provision established for a tie-break.
As I am one of the two predictors involved, the modest procedure would be to adopt the former policy above and give 8.5 to both competitors. On the other hand that might be thought to be unfair to Olympian.
So I am very willing to take the advice of others, and change the points provisionally allocated below to 9 each.
