Liverpool result gives Labour first increase in percentage share since August 8th. And quite a different story from the previous local by-election in the city.

Liverpool result gives Labour first increase in percentage share since August 8th. And quite a different story from the previous local by-election in the city. Princes Park is a different ward, and has demographics quite different from other wards with similar levels of deprivation. As have said before, this is a ward with a significant ethnic minority population and is quite different to St Michaels and Greenbank. Labour big win comes as no surprise though the swing towards them was more of a surprise (along with the drop in the green vote).

Looks like all the previous TUSC vote went their way, which is intuitive.

Princes Park (Liverpool) result: LAB: 73.1% (+5.5) GRN: 13.8% (-5.6) LDEM: 8.6% (+3.6) CON: 4.6% (+1.2) Labour HOLD. No TUSC (-4.7) as prev. Chgs. w/ 2016. 2.15% swing Con to Lab On the 2016 result, its actually a tiny (and I mean tiny) swing to the Tories since earlier this year
