Do we have to bring Brexit policies into the local by-elections thread - there are enough places on the forum to discuss this.

Would be interesting (and rather depressing) if anyone actually tried to bring Brexit policies into a local by election.
£350 million a week for pothole repairs.
A no deal Brexit will stop your bin being emptied.
Etc.

Unless there's reason to believe that Brexit issues are directly related to the outcome of one of the by-elections in question it is completely off-topic. And there aren't many wards in the country where any Brexit issues more specific than "it's a heavily remain/leave ward" are going to affect the outcome.

Where I am the Labour Party usually centre their local election campaigns on more money for the NHS, and keeping out the Tories who are in third place. When they realise it is not going very well they move onto the Coalition and start mentioning us. (which doesn't work either)
