The 2017 boundary changes resulted in the ward losing a considerable chunk on it’s Eastern side, but in all 3 elections under STV Thorniewood has elected 2 Labour and 1 SNP councillor, although in July 2015 the SNP held a seat in a by-election on a 12% swing from Labour.

I note from the Echo article that they mention that Gary Millar later joined the Labour party - he defected straight from the LibDems and held his seat as Labour.
Berni Turner was the LibDem councillor who then lost her seat - and is now very much a Corbyn-supporter in the Labour Party

Yes - in 2015, the General election year. She joined Labour when Corbyn was elected. Very anti-coalition, and always a left wing Liberal.

Ah, I recall her - an odd, obese character. Hadn't realised she was onto her 3rd Party. So she was married to a LD Cllr then left him to live with a Cllr who had himself defected.

But then it's all relative in Liverpool. I think it follows Stoke for the number of defections over the past 25 years.

Speaking of odd, argumentative obese Cllrs, I understand Clubmoor ward has gone through 20 Labour Cllrs over the same period! Anyone recall George Smith, Joe Kenny et al? X Deserves Better has never been a truer campaign slogan for the poor people of L11. Every Cllr seems to either get deselected, defect or get charged.
