Not a party political poll, but fascinating nonetheless... makes sense, you interact with health care professionals far more in your life than you are the other things on that list

Given this poll with the Tories on 24% and today's Deltapoll with them on 23%, have they absolutely bottomed out now? I cant see them going any lower, but oblivion seems inevitable now?

I was thinking of the Sunak government, as that's a totally different government.. .nothing to do with the Truss one, or the Johnson one, or the May one..etc of course

If the Tories continue in the mid-low 20s in the polls, what are the chances of another leadership challenge? Shall I go for the popcorn?

Sunak is what they currently need. A steady, sensible, grey influence. He is intelligent, competent, sensible and doing his best in an quite impossible position. He is into massive damage limitation and some ameliorative action up to a GE already lost. What possible case for a change could be made by anyone at all?

I'd miss Tigger if he went now In GE defeat he will feel obliged to tender resignation. If the party is sensible it will refuse his offer and keep him for at least 18-months to settle down with the new and smaller intake. There are too many resignations in politics at the wrong time and not enough at the right time!

Ironically the weather around here is miserable today..
Yes, we’ve gone past the point where changing the leader makes any positive difference. The events of a year ago should tell us that loud and clear. Any leader of any party in government for this long would be having a hard time. And would anyone be eager to stand at this stage? Whatever happens, don’t eat too much popcorn. It’s very bad for your health.
