Luke Ellis comes across as seriously deranged from the above comments.

My understanding is that recents events make that less rather than more likely. Would you care to explain more, for those of us not keeping up with events in the Scottish Conservatives.

Luke Ellis comes across as seriously deranged from the above comments. I wouldn't expect you to say anything else. While he says what he does in an outspoken manner, and child abuse seems to be a big issue for him, I can't see that the broad thrust of what he says - Labour is intolerant of dissent, Ed's a crap leader, the Welsh NHS is in a state - is not fair comment and is the product of a deranged mind.

Actually, his comments are rather wild and unsubstantiated in relation to his general comments on abuse. Also, his raising up of Jeremy Kyle as a man with a genius for understanding the needs of people and voicing a hope that he'll enter politics hardly adds evidence of a mature political mind. Who is he anyway?

He doesn't quite not say it either, indeed, he says he'd vote for him if he chose a political career. Any sensible politician who has watched Mr Kyle's version of 'couples' therapy' could hardly hold that opinion.

Having spent several years dealing with the social group who usually appear on Jeremy Kyle (indeed, at least two of my clients did actually appear), I can say that his brand of couples therapy is significantly nicer for the people concerned than my preferred brand!

Are you referring to when you worked for the DSS or when you worked for Wetherspoons?

Hah, both. The CSA in particular (I've checked with a former colleague and it was three people whose cases I dealt with).

Are you referring to when you worked for the DSS Come on Pete, the DWP please! It's as bad as my old clients still referring to the any benefits related office as 'The Sosh'... As for Jeremy Kyle, if Jerry Springer can become Mayor of Cincinnati the who knows what Jeremy Kyle could achieve politically if he wished to.

Blimey, the Sosh. Not heard that in a while. I wrote IRO last week in an email and got one back asking what it meant.

He is still a total nutter.

Jerry Springer was Mayor of Cincinnati for one year, long before he became a TV host. And he was chosen by the City Council not directly elected. So not quite the same.

Jeremy Kyle actually has quite well developed interpersonal skills and understanding of people in gaining people's trust and getting them to open up. This makes the exploitative use he puts them to all the more contemptible and despicable.

I have no problem with his behaviour. These people know what they're letting themselves in for.
