I note a recent Brum councillor resident here has become "semi-detached", as it were..... Don't get your hopes up. I am merely with having a certain problem with my membership renewal. I have been out campaigning for the LibDems every weekend this year and will be out this weekend. And until Tim Farron becomes leader?

And until Tim Farron becomes leader? I will still happily campaign for Roger and Penny even if that sad case becomes leader.

Intriguing. I'm not a party member currently but am still in 'full blue' rather than 'leaning blue.' I wonder what the membership renewal issue is.

I was informed when running tonight with (amongst others) a Green Councillor that I have the dubious pleasure of now being represented by UKIP, with the defection on Michael McCabe (formerly Con, Thornton and Allerton, Bradford Met) T and A reportWhilst the cynical might point to his failure to be reselected by the Tories, I have to admit that ideologically he does appear to be a perfect fit

That's quite a coup for UKIP. She was Conservative candidate for the Slough constituency in both 2001 and 2010.

If anyone ever brings up the fact again that I've been a member of three different parties, I can just point to this guy and say "so what?" at least.

So the exchange is that we get the likes of Martin Ford, Howard Allen and James Doyle and they get Dawud Islam. Hmmm, I think I can live with that bargain

James Cole, Deputy Chairman of UKIP Wales, and PPC for Llanelli (?) has resigned from the party.
Allegedly.

He's been a loose cannon in warrington labour for quite some time, or making a stand on principle (depending on your point of view). He was suspended a while ago for voting against the council budget.

My understanding is that recents events make that less rather than more likely.

Warrington is one of those councils that always seems to go about its business quietly and effectively, and the boat doesn't seem to be rocked very often. I suspect he won't be the man to change that.
