He’ll be Shadow Equalities Secretary before you know it. Well they were actually suspended from the party almost instantly, but don't let that stop you

The Labour candidate for Bude in Cornwall was trolling attacks on Margaret Hodge the other day and he, and the local party, only copy things from Jews in favour Jeremy Corbyn...the "good Jews?"Really not loving my party right now. So much the same mentality as a large part of the MSM then, even if the other way round? And it has to be said that Hodge is an easy target in some respects - just look at what the likes of Stephen Pollard were saying about her a few years ago. Is it really true, also, that just earlier this year she very clearly stated that Corbyn was NOT personally anti-Semitic? Does it not strike you as a bit odd that she should suddenly discover he was after being personally acquainted with him since at least the 1980s?? And her key role in the 2016 PLP move against JC is bound to raise suspicions with many. One thing we can nearly all agree on - the leadership's handling of this issue has been sub-optimal. Lets not lose sight of everything else, though.

Lets not lose sight of everything else, though. The mistake was to say that Corbyn is personally anti-semitic. I don't think that's true. It's more the sense of inaction that's going on when complaints are made. If it has been 'He doesn't care that much about anti-semitism' or 'He doesn't see it as important', then that would certainly be a fairer charge. Have seen very little that suggests they really care about it that much, a number of the public statements on it have been very much a 'say something to try and shut this issue up' rather than anything more concrete.

None of this of course is helped the hordes of Corbynite 'activists' (quite a number of whom won't be labour party members but loyally support Corbyn) on twitter, facebook and elsewhere who are spewing anti-semitic conspiracy theories everywhere, and personally attacking anyone who calls them out on it with even more vile stuff.
Now for those outside the party there is not much Corbyn can do about that, and it is difficult for him to attack those people spewing this stuff given that some of them are big supporters. But like it or not everything they post will be used as material to attack Corbyn. As I said previously, if they wanted to help Corbyn, then they need to put a sock in it. They won't though.

Why are you bothering and trying to be reasonable? This playing very badly and all we need to do is sit back and shut up whilst they carry on with the excellent self-damage.

Because that is my viewpoint, and somehow I doubt they are going to come to this forum and heed my advice They are of course a load of twats, who don't realise how much damage they're doing. And will continue to live in complete ignorance.

One thing we can nearly all agree on - the leadership's handling of this issue has been sub-optimal. Lets not lose sight of everything else, though. Why not? Even when people are stirring things up to attack the leadership (and I see no reason to believe that a lot of leadership opponents aren't also genuinely upset by this), rising to it only makes things worse. The process for the new code has been terrible and the leadership have done nothing to build bridges with the Jewish community, even though there'd be negligible cost to doing so. Arguing about hidden agendas just emboldens people into stepping over the line into conspiracy theories. Preventing that is much more important than silly season stuff about who's plotting what.

Seems all the Tory councillors are deserting the sinking ship. I can't remember the last time there were this many defections away from any given party (baring the UKIP collapse that is).
