No concession being made to those who don't then? This is a site dedicated to psephology. It is hardly unreasonable to expect people posting on here to understand the basics of the electoral system. It is inherently peculiar to expect every single person to know every single detail of every single aspect of electoral and political arrangements of every type of election and every type of assembly. Believe it or not, there are some people (even on this forum) who are too young to have learnt everything yet, or who may only be interested in a subset of such subjects.

Well it certainly seems that there are some people on the forum whose comprehension of basic English is somewhat lacking.

It's obvious, but Imran Khan of Wakefield has had the whip removed.

Suspensions have been put here before. Smartarse. As I said, so not a defection, and currently being discussed in a more appropriate thread.

John Bercow has apparently joined the Labour Party.

Not a parliamentary defection Not really a defection at all, I’d say.

John Bercow has apparently joined the Labour Party. Or seen to come out of the political closet after a decade of denial.

Not even Bercow himself if he gets his peerage as a result.

Not terribly surprising. Bercow endorsed Bernie Sanders last year.

John Bercow has apparently joined the Labour Party. Or seen to come out of the political closet after a decade of denial. This from the Observer:In an explosive interview with the Observer, Bercow says he regards today’s Conservative party as “reactionary, populist, nationalistic and sometimes even xenophobic”. I almost found myself nodding in agreement-but then I thought so what

Well yes, there is a small but definite group of people who practically idolise the man.
O'Flynn is just doing the usual populist right trick of asserting "my views are everybody's views".

O'Flynn is also missing the fact that Bercow could have chosen to join the Liberal Democrats - who just won the next door seat to his. He could have chosen to endorse the Rejoin EU Party, or Renew. Instead he's joined Labour, and that does have some significance for the allegiance of ex-Conservatives who are looking for which other party to support.

I suppose his point may have partly been that those people are already firmly in the Labour camp. But in reality many of those people will be Lib Dem leaning and this might switch them to Labour. A small number of people, but that's true of pretty much any notable defection.
On another note, Bercow faced a lot of bullying allegations during his time as Speaker and it's disappointing that people have swept that under the rug for political gain.

Though as I said in the other thread discussing this, there are those who get highly aerated about his supposed bullying but are very quiet about (say) Priti Patel.
