Of course..  Was thinking of Munich Putsch times. Assumed that because it was in Bavaria, that was the NSDAP's best area. Do we have the 1930 results, the ones mentioned earlier? The key thing to remember is that Bavaria was the Nazis' best area at the time of the putsch in the sense that the main leadership all lived there. It had little reach outside it at the time. And not much more in it. Much more serious at the time was an attempted Communist takeover, just weeks before, in...Saxony and Thuringia. It is also important to remember that the Beer Hall Putsch was an attempted coup against an attempted coup. Gustav von Kahr, who ran Bavaria, was essentially in revolt against the Weimar Republik and wanted to use Bavaria as the first step to control it. The only part that can truly be said to have mass electoral appeal in Bavaria at the time was the BVP, to which Von Kahr and friends belonged. It was not until around 1930 that the Nazis overtook the likes of the Peasant League. |

Funny story that exam quite honestly. Thunder and lightening all during it. I got 88% though so happy. As tutor, I should know more. |

It refers to the slogan of a white supremacist terrorist organisation, The Order, that has become widely adopted by white supremacists and neo-Nazis to justify their ideology and acts. “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” This slogan has become widely known among neo-Nazis by the code “The Fourteen Words”. I deliberately translated it using only my rusty brain and not by using Google Translate - which is why I don’t know what “secure” is, and why I might have unremembered some of the grammatical bits. P.S. Goo Translate says “Wir müssen die Existenz unseres Volkes und eine Zukunft für weiße Kinder sichern” so I got it mostly right. But I didn’t get the ß wrong - I deliberately wrote ss because I don’t like the letter ß anyway. |
