With the polls due to close in about 58 hours or so, it's time to nail your colours to the mast time (please note this poll is asking about electoral college votes only, not popular vote)

I will probably wait until tomorrow before making my prediction. It should be interesting to compare the polls with what they were saying the day before the 2008 election.

Have gone for Obama 275-299. My gut feeling is about or just over 300 but my head says that is optimistic. I think he should win Ohio. Along with New Hampshire. Assuming Romney has luck and wins FL and the Northern South (VA and NC) and the Liberalish West (slightly Libertarian I suppose) of NV and CO. I also think that if it is close IA has been trending away from the Dems.
If Obama holds as he should in NM and the WI and MN block I do find a 269:269 doable. So Romney/Biden win. I have a feeling Romney could live with Biden as VP!
I hope that Obama can actually pull one of the VA?FL pair out of the bag. I don't think there is much else in Romney's reach. Of course Obama could have a good night and win all bar IN and NE(2).

We only disagree on Florida then. I think that Romney will pick up: Indiana North Carolina Nebraska 2nd District I might have miscalculated then

And technically the NE 2nd is boundary changed and may not count as a loss.

If Obama wins Virginia & Colorado he could be over 300 as I expect him to win NH, Iowa, Pennysylvania, Ohio, Nevada, NM & Wisconsin. Romney should win Florida but it could be close. Either 303-235 or 281 to 257 depending on Colorado & Virginia.

Good - we can see the results of this poll now. Pretty decisive - let's see if we were right...
