Imagine this timing issue if California as a whole ever becomes a tight swing state that decides the electoral college?

the conspiracy theorists would go into meltdown. However, it really does need to be addressed. I still dont understand why they dont have a separate ballot for POTUS. These could all then be counted first, then those issues/elections further down on the ticket a few days later.

The whole speed and method in which the USA ‘calls’ elections and counts votes is an example of how not to do it from start to finish.

California election officials are just taking the piss. They still have around 2.5 million ballots to count of which roughly 1.7 million were mail in ballots that arrived on or before election day.

Your numbers only include 3 missing seats as there are 435 seats but you have 5 yet to declare so they don’t tally (sorry). BTW I have both 9 and 21 as dead certs for the Dems (Costa has perennially had to rely on postals). Genuinely ludicrous IMO that those two haven't been called. Well! Fair Dos! It must takes hours to massage the result and plant correct material that looks genuine and convincing, and in a situation where 'experts' had assured them of a Harris easy victory. If only they had known, they could have had more 'prepared material' ready and been able to count it so very much quicker.

Yes, but it did give me the facts to shut down my conspiracy theorist friend who asserted that Trump would not be allowed to win. You cant rig 50 different election counts along with 50 exit polls

But AZ is expected to change the way it runs its elections.

Including these figures, McCormick now leads by around 22,000 votes statewide. I believe Casey is requesting a recount.

Good theory except for the fact that a) Harris did win easily so there’s no need for your shenanigans, and b) this has been an issue for decades - Reagan got criticised for not sorting it out whilst Governor of California.

California is a very poorly run state and has been for a very long time. I suppose that is because it is dominated by Democrats?

California is a very poorly run state and has been for a very long time. Indeed. There's a reason that Gray Davis was the successfully recalled as governor in 2003. Multiple reasons form what I gather.

Rick Scott has dropped out/been eliminated (not sure which yet) from the vote for Senate Majority Leader, it is now between Cornyn and Thune.

Bothe the Libertarian Party and the Green Party have more than double the votes of the current victory margin (88,000 and 68,000, respectively, versus a current winning margin of 29,000, according to the figures I’m currently seeing).

Pretty much as expected, i think some were looking too much into the idea of Scott being Trump’s pick as decisive
