Having spent a summer month in Kuopio as a student summer was great. I think winter could be challenging. I have done Helsinki in December and January. Fine for a visit but I would seriously wonder about residence then. To be fair they were having about the worst snowfall on record and coped marvellously compared to London.

Holiday in Finland - interesting, not a country I have thought of visiting. I was in Warsaw last week for my stag do. It was very hot but temperature dropped a lot on the last day. I don't think winter there would be very nice though.

Thanks - I haven't won a week for a long time. Unfortunately there's only one more by-election this month in Bridgend so the top 2 or 3 should be safe.
