Congratulations to Pete on the day- I'm not sure whether it's mathematically possible for him to be beaten now, but it's surely very unlikely.
This might be my last prediction competition for a few months and I'd hoped to go out on a higher note, but there goes...

Not bad considering I did my predicitions at 2am after my works xmas do the worse for wear. I had earlier done a more detailed analysis but forgot to PM the figures to ME and left the data at work and was off yesterday. I haven't revised my UKIP predictions though so that might show up following their candidate's revelations.

Phil's predictions in Kent are very different to mine, but I calculated that if he is spot on he will (obviously) get 0 faults and I would get about 75 so it is just about possible (also I suppose if UKIP do even better than he is predicting). Gkr's predictions are similar to mine so there is I think only a technical possibility of Phil beating me

10 of the 14 initial starters are still in the race, with Dibs joining for the last 2 but carrying a 1,400 fault penalty.
100% unanimity of a Conservative hold in both Gravesham, Meopham North and Kent, Gravesham North.
The only person who can now beat Pete Whitehead is indeed PhilDav76 who, if spot on for both contests, would be win by some 11.0 faults, overhauling a current lead of 62.6.

I'm sure somebody - Dizz? - did it on the old site, but it's still an impressive achievement.

Yes Dizz probably did. Its a shame he doesn't participate anymore and only makes very occasional forays onto this site

We now have our break into the New Year before deciding how to play the next three months. Merry Christmas to all the present and past contestants along with all the lurkers. Khunanup has correctly pointed out that he did in fact make a prediction for the 2 by-elections on Thursday at the same time as he posted the ones for the 3 Wednesday contests. Apologies as I obviously had too much cooking sherry whilst making the trifle. For the record, Khunanup's scores were: Gravesham, Meopham North 48.5 faults, Kent, Gravesham Rural 34.4 and a final score of 519.1. This puts him 10th with Just Looking dropping down to 11th.
