A first map i can see on my old iPhone shows, that the Greens have done very well also in the NE (rural&remote BregenzerWald).
Probably because ÖVP has made them a respected GoverningParty.

The "final" result - on TuesDay some PostalVotes will be counted - is out.
Participation -4%; FPÖ like in the FederalElection over -9%; others: +1.8% (ÖVP), +1.6% (Greens, Neos), +0.7% (SPÖ).

The "final" result - on TuesDay some PostalVotes will be counted - is out. Participation -4%; FPÖ like in the FederalElection over -9%; others: +1.8% (ÖVP), +1.6% (Greens, Neos), +0.7% (SPÖ). There were 1290 valid card votes left to be counted on Tuesday out of 25030 issued cards in 2015. And 34562 cards were issued this time. The fractional remainders for the last two seats are at 1.77 from 2.78 for the ÖVP, 1.74 for the SPÖ, 0.92 for the FPÖ, 0.66 for NEOS, and 0.47 for the Greens. That'd be 1702 votes to catch up for NEOS to the fractional remainder of the SPÖ and 1998 for the Greens... if the ratio stays similar to 2015 its hard to think of an algorithm which could deliver that for either of both. presse.vorarlberg.at/land/dist/vlk-60246.html |

Take notice, that in Styria there is no Treshold of 4% or 5%; instead, a party must get a BasicMandate.
This is naturally cheapest in Graz City&Land, where 1/3 of the population live.
NEOS should get it quite easily, for KPÖ it was already last time very close (~300 votes).

A lot could be said about Styria - "the wild tribes behind the Semmering", as E.S.PICCOLOMINI (later pope PIUS II) called them.
Styria's politicians have so far failed in federal politics to an already ridiculous extent: Habsburg's ArchDuke John in 1848 in Frankfort; the ChristianSocial Rintelen wanted to become PM 1934 with support of a Nazi-coup (!); after 1945 the ÖVP of Styria, where religiosity has been lower than in the north and the milieus of ÖVP & FPÖ have been more mixed, endorsed roughly always the "liberal"&"reformist" wing in Vienna, which was in favour of ÖVP&FPÖ and always fell flat: Gorbach, Klaus, Taus, Busek, Molterer, Pröll jr.
