It seems that Kevin John Brack, who stood as an Independent in the Darlington byelection in Red Hall and Lingfield Ward, was the first candidate for Ann-Marie Water's 'For Britain'.
He got 46 votes.

That is because, @benjl , they are much better organised than in most areas now. The same goes for UKIP in Thurrock. Agreed, but may have been helped by lack of alternatives. Labour candidate from other side of town, no localist candidate or Green or Lib Dem. If you didn't want to vote Labour or Tory , UKIP was going to pick up the local protest vote. Thought Tories would do better in the circumstances but obviously not
