Would be good if people posted maps rather than text! It just so happens that I have done that but haven't quite figured out a way to ensure they get posted on here without being too big or too small.

Without wanting to step on ntyuk1707 's toes too much, here's the Electoral Calculus's ward estimates for Scotland by majority (I'm probably going to adjust the colours, as I had the darkest colours set at a 50% majority). His will probably be more accurate, as it will include independence support (which this doesn't) and the 2017 local council results (this is based on the 2012 elections).

Don't have any trust in me, please!: I took the data provided by "BritainElects", where i found several obvious mistakes, probably there are many more. I am sorry, the BlankMap had already that black BackGround.

So, outside of Scotland, there were 15 seats swinging to the right: 11 LD held in 2010 Chesterfield (so similar situation) Wyre Forest - special NHA circumstance Copeland - by-election Waveney - loss of former MP standing
Lots of the other low swings are ones where the LDs were trying in 2015.

Sibboleth Once you've finished doing each of the regional maps, do you plan on stitching (knitting? ) them all together into a nationwide map?

Whilst the arguments are sound (which sounds like something straight out of a Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera) some of the results I am not convinced by. For instance here in Ceredigion, this is the change in my ward between 2015 and 2017 Llansantffraed 2015: Lib Dem 35%, Lab 21%, UKIP 20%, Con 13%, Green 10%, Plaid 0%, Others 2% (note of concern: There wasn't an Other in 2015) Llansantffraed 2017: Lab 30% (+9%), Con 25% (+12%), Lib Dem 23% (-13%), Plaid 16% (+16%), UKIP 3% (-17%), Green 2% (-8%), Others 1% (-1%) Labour GAIN from Liberal Democrat on a swing of 11% from Lib Dem to Lab Swing in constituency as a whole: 8.7% from Lib Dem to Lab A greater swing to Labour in a part of the seat where (at least according to them - couldn't possibly judge myself) Labour are stronger than across the constituency makes perfect sense. What doesn't is the assumption that Plaid polled 0% here just because (I presume) they don't stand candidates locally.

Here is a map of the results of the 2017 general election by electoral ward in Scotland based on my data: That sea of blue outside the central belt and highlands.

Not the SNP in Howe of Fife? What about Ellon & District, or Highland (Perthshire)? The results you have in Moray look a bit weird as well.

A map of LD's retained deposits in 2015 and 2017 (yellow - both, orange - 17 only, pale brown - 15 only)

Aberdeen South should be orange No I think the SNP are more deserving representatives of its voters, than divisive Ulster Unionists.

iain's right, of course (jokes aside). UKIP saved deposits 2017. For comparison: UKIP and BNP (red; brown: both) deposits 2010. Nuff said.

The county borders on the above map are factually and morally wrong.

The county borders on the above map are factually and morally wrong. That's because they still influenced the last review, and because that map (as it states in the bottom corner) is adapted from David Boothroyd's map of the previous review which was entirely based on them.
