Labour gain. This is the last seat where ULEZ would hurt Labour, IMO, and Labour took control of Westminster council last May. I wonder if Davıd Boothroyd has any local insights about how hard Labour will contest this seat. They almost won it in 2021.

I know who's been selected for Labour but I think it's being held back for a public announcement

Or was it the NSA? CIA? I forget.

Like she will get selected anywhere given the circumstances in which she was dropped as Labour PPC for Worcester, not to mention the frivolous litigation she launched last time she stood as a London Assembly candidate.

Oh sorry I didn't realise. I will withdraw my entirely non-frivolous suggestion then. Thanks as always for your extraodinary insight.

The Labour candidate is James Small-Edwards. Son of a bit of a hero of mine, Shaun Edwards. Also, Heather Small, of course, whose cousin I worked with in the Yorkshire and Humberside HMPS Region team. I was a bit awestruck when Shaun Edwards was a godparent to three children in my parish in Rochdale, he having previously sponsored their father into the Church.
