Thank you very much indeed for starting these threads. I know how much work it involves and I think more people are grateful than will say!

Indeed , I echo Robert's thanks . I did these threads for a couple of years and the standard has improved considerably since my efforts .
For May 4th , I think a brief list of seats , defending party and party candidates standing would be useful . I can do that after nominations published

The good news is that in recognition of the extra work, you will be paid double your normal rate for May 4th.

A bit disappointing to have no Labour candidate in Leominster again.

A bit disappointing to have no Labour candidate in Leominster again. Yes, but then again from my perspective no 😉

Also disappointing not to have a Lib Dem in Blackburn, Lancashire -should be plenty of opportunities for pavement politics with all thos holes in the road

West Somerset has traditionally been almost devoid of Lib Dem support. However their candidate is the only one who lives in the ward (albeit in Timberscombe, the smaller of the two settlements) and they have been working it hard. This may be the last ever election for a seat on West Somerset DC, the district is set to merge with Taunton Deane.

Jist chatting to a party worker on Higher Croft. He reckons turnout is up on December.

Greens were the sole opponents of the Conservatives last time, and this time the candidate was not from the ward. Wait to see how they do in Leominster before a full judgment on today is possible.
