Not so complicated a request. I had been thinking of the BNP of late (hey hey who remembers that old relic). It's not too long ago the party made some real breakthroughs at local and regional level. I think as an alternative history, it wouldn't be so difficult to think of a history where they remain relevant to the political landscape.
As I'm pretty poor at coming up with these things. I wonder if anyone here can come up with a credible alternative history where the BNP (or to be outside the box a far right alternative to the BNP, such as the English Democrats, remain or become a relevant force in British (or English) Politics.
I don't think this would be such a farfetched idea either. In 2009, the BNP made an historic breakthrough into the European Parliament. So my gauntlet for all you smart minds is... The BNP (or a splinter alternative) remain a presence in british politics today.
To make this slightly more reality based... the BNP are not on a verge of victory in 2020 or the random splinter party did not storm to victory in 2015.

The BNP peaked in 2006. They were on their way down from that peak in 2009, but still higher than 2004 hence the illusion of a "breakthrough".
