You could put that information in place of the probably inaccurate but at the very least totally uninformative platitudes uttered by some unnamed colleague about deceased councillors No please keep them. At least until we get one that says "He/she was an idle tosser and we are well rid of them".

If I reading well, a forum member is a former councillor for Hedge End Wiltern... EDIT: Being close to Keith House must turn people towards Labour, another former LD councillor for that ward, Keith Day, is the Labour candidate for the town by-election. Yes, I served 1 year as a cllr for Hedge End Wildern. It was the very worst year of my adult life. Quite frankly, I wouldn't spit on KH if he were on fire - he is a contemptible low-life, who wouldn't recognise democracy if it slapped him round the face. Go on Sharon, tell us what you really think of him!

Seems that Keith House has the last word here? I assume the Liberals won the TC election as well.

Seems that Keith House has the last word here? I assume the Liberals won the TC election as well. Keith House having to have a different running mate every four years speaks greater volumes than an individual by-election. Don't worry, my Lord; your community politics remains dead but twitching, and serious people remain in charge of real politics rather than the dog-muck and lamppost merchants who snuck in in 2010-15. You get back to the Colne Sub-Committee on window boxes and allotments.

I hold no brief for the Liberal Democrats, but this is an unnecessarily spiteful and unpleasant post aimed at a respected member of this forum.

I was described as 'flamboyant' in one press story some years ago. Which means 'raging poof' Heres my latest description in the report of an independent local news site "Cllr Mahoney is seen by other members of the Vale Council as outsider, something of a renegade and a paid-up member of the “awkward-squad” who tends to rub everyone up the wrong way and therefore has trouble forging alliances with representatives of the other parties. But last night proved to be an exception." penarthnews.wordpress.com/2016/12/15/vale-council-is-forced-to-publish-attendance-records-of-councillors/ I should perhaps point out that I don't have trouble forging alliances with representatives of other parties, I just don't bother in the first place Better than the "Quiet and dedicated description" as dissected in an above post I suppose

It's interesting that the clear Liberal Democrat recovery in some elections in some areas in the past year has resulted in conflicting reactions amongst other politicians on the centre/left. Ranging from enthusiastic support to renewed venom. I am sorry to report however that I have little involvement in window boxes in Colne (they are in the purview of the highly successful Colne in Bloom team) nor with local allotments which are well looked after by the Town Council.
