Anyone got 2019 Conservative leadership election results by county? I don't believe any such figures can exist - they just counted all the ballots together. It would be interesting. Did Merseyside Tories vote against Johnson due to past comments etc? Did Hunt have a home turf advantage in Surrey? Did the likes of RBKC and Westminster vote for BoJo? While we're on the subject of Westminster, can I interview you for my course at City Uni about the elections?

I miss Labour leadership results being broken down by CLP too (I think 2010 was the last one)

Yey! Detached parts!
We need to keep a list of these, I can only remember two, though I know that I know about three.

Technically it doesn't exist yet as it won't be created until the 2023 elections, but the new Brigg & Wolds ward of North Lincolnshire has a rather large detached part. Unusually, this is by design rather than just being a detached part of one of the parishes within the ward.

Broadliand's Thorpe St Andrew South East ward has a detached part caused by the River Yare being part of the City of Norwich. South Cambridgeshire's Milton and Waterbeach ward has a detached part in the area around Cambridge North station (because it's a detached part of Milton parish).

Unusually, this is by design rather than just being a detached part of one of the parishes within the ward. I'm a little surprised that the LGBCE did that, given that in their report on their Derbyshire Dales initial proposals they said that the creation of a ward with an exclave was "irreconcilable with our statutory criteria for community identity and effective and convenient local government". Admittedly in that case there was no reason given for the exclave -- indeed I suspect it was down to incompetence on the part of those who suggested it and not a deliberate exclave -- whereas in this case the Council justified the proposal on the grounds that the parish in question (Cadney) is completely cut off by road from the rest of their area and that it is actually better connected to Brigg than to the only wards it physically borders.

It's some distance to North East Lincs.
