This clearly means all laws passed since 1962 should be declared invalid. So actually we were never in the EEC/EU in the first place!

Perhaps we should get Eoin Clarke and the Corbynistas to start a twitterstorm about #libdemelectionfraud ! Well if they were doing it last year, it didn't produce very good results (save possibly in Clegg's seat, ahem)

All this fuss about the spend. Do you chaps actually think most people read any of the stuff that comes through the door? Or that it tends to encourage people who were not going to vote to go out and vote? Or that people who had intended to vote LD on getting a Conservative leaflet suddenly see their fault and change allegiance? I am interested to know your views and you may infer mine from my tone.
I do think that the quality and personal activity of the candidate matters, and the presence of good quality canvassers on every doorstep matters, and effective knocking-up matters. The rest is down to the perception of the party, the party leader and the quality of the national campaign, plus the incessant drip feed of the previous 3-5 years from the media.

All I would say is that hard nosed business people, out for maximum profit, think that spending lots on advertising is worthwhile...

It is a long time since I associated with senior Admen but I doubt if the essentials have changed. Then they were of the opinion that long term repetition was the most effective and cited soap powder and Coca Cola, and they mentioned political leafleting as being a good example of the pointless unless one did it very, very often.

She asked the complainant 'what are the main messages of our campaign' and when answer came there none, responded 'well we clearly haven't delivered enough yet
