Interesting, although presumably most of us on here would (pretty much by definition) fail the "has been publicly active in support of a registered political party in the last 10 years"

I mean we're churning out constituencies at an absolute rate of knots and as we are all parties and none, the idea of a joint VOTE UK submission might show the Boundary Commissioners that crowdsourcing constituencies could be the way forward.

Harry Hayfield I think you are conflating two different things. We could collectively submit a response to the review of parliamentary constituency boundaries (and I think folk tried to do that last time round). However, we can't collectively apply to serve as an Assistant Boundary Commissioner, which is what this thread was originally about. While the Commission will have to make reasonable adjustments, and may make posts available on a job-share basis, I don't think you can expect them to do that with several dozen people and one post.

Yes I would LOVE a job like that. However I am sure there are thousands of people more qualified than I am

Would be very interested, but like most people here disqualified because I have been involved in a political party within 10 years. As Harry Hayfield has said though, we who can't serve on the Commission but who are plenty qualified for such work should make more efforts to make our views known in the various consultations.

So, a prerequisite for being a boundary commissioner is not having been involved in politics. Explains a lot
