I'm trying to work out how many of the members of the DDR's only democratic election, in 1990, are still elected officials. An obscure one but hopefully someone will find it interesting. So far I've spotted:

Stanislaw Tillich- CDU, now Minister President of Saxony
Till Backhaus- SPD, has spent an incredible 16 years as Agriculture Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Rolf Berend- CDU, now a MEP
Lorenz Caffier- CDU, Interior Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
