Another week with a Plaid-less Welsh by-election. Which, on the face of it, seems slightly odd for two reasons: a) they've got a not insignificant presence on the council already, and b) it's a good opportunity for them to raise their profile ahead of next year's Assembly elections. |

Plaid's organisational strength (and local voting base) in Caerphilly CB is very much at the other end of the borough. New Tredegar is way up at the top of the Rhymney Valley; possibly Plaid don't even have any members there.

I can but agree. I don't know why. We will be contesting the next by-election in Caerphilly - Cross Keys - though |

Given than at the top of Labour umpopularity in Wales Lab won 74-26 over PC in this ward, I think it's pretty hopeless for them there.
