I remember a report on BBC TV news in the late 1980s about the EPRDF, where it was portrayed as a trendy, slightly liberal opposition to the then communist government. It had some sort of internal democracy in which dissent was permitted. As far as I can tell from the various reports I have found from googling, the EPRDF won by fraud and intimidation, but there are some opposition parties which managed to win a handful of seats in the previous elections in 2010 and 2005. Not so much like North Korea, but more like Zimbabwe with knobs on. If you want North Korea with knobs on, go next door to Eritrea. The whole country is a military prison camp, with a mad dictator as president, and (unlike North Korea) not even any pretence of having a parliament or parliamentary elections.

For a bit of context/comparison, here are some earlier results of parliamentary elections:
2010: EPRDF 499 Various other pro-EPRDF parties 46 Opposition parties 2
2005: EPRDF 327 (60% of the votes) Coalition for Unity and Democracy 109 (20%) United Ethiopian Democractic Forces 52 (9%) Others 58 (9%)
2000: EPRDF 481 Others 66
(It should be stated that the EPRDF is itself an umbrella organisation of various different parties)
and before the EPRDF came to power:
1987: Workers' Party of Ethiopia 795 (99.2%) Independent 40 (0.8%)
