Following the election of Byron Davies to the Westminster constituency of Gower he has resigned his seat in the National Assembly of Wales. He is replaces by the next conservative on the list Altaf Hussein.

Altaf Hussain was the Conservative candidate in Swansea East at the beginning of the month. He finished 3rd with 15.3%.

Well yes it is - elect as in appointed by the electorate of the nominating officer for the Welsh conservatives....

Well yes it is - elect as in appointed by the electorate of the nominating officer for the Welsh conservatives.... No it's not. A byelection has a specific definition. This is not a byelection. |

The person is elected by the nominating officer. It belongs in this section. Where else should it go?
