Can somebody remind me how to calculate majorities in a multi-member seat.
Example 1, two winners same party: David (Lab) 706 (E) Eric (Lab) 590 (E) Debby (UKIP) 344 Brenda (Con) 340 Tim (UKIP) 332 Chris (Grn) 234 Jake (LD) 194
Example 2, two winners, different parties: David (Con) 1,014 (E) James (Lab) 961 (E) Jane (Con) 875 Neil (UKIP) 668

majorities or ways of providing a % for parties?
majorities would surely be a simple subtraction - so in eg 1 david = majority of 706 - 344 and eric would be 590-344 eg 2 - david would be 1014 - 875 james would be 961 - 875
