The outgoing President has graciously accepted the result, too. I regard this as a thoroughly positive development in African politics, and look forward to the same happening in South Africa one day.

Well in procedural terms maybe it is. And the incumbent was the worst democratically elected leader in the world. Trouble is, the new President will almost certainly be as bad. Alas for Nigeria...
