Hi folks. I am actually hoping to find a specific councillor's electoral history in this period. The wards he stood in, in which years, what his voting figures were. Obviously, finding detailed results pre-74 is difficult, but does anyone have any advice as to online resources for this? I will traipse up to Sunderland Central Library if I have to, but short of that? Anyone have any ideas?

Rose the Sunderland Echo has been digitised by the British Newspaper Archive but unfortunately only up until 1953.....I've no idea whether they are planning to do all the rest up to date but I could e-mail them to find out. A lot of their papers seem to have arbitrary cut off dates.
