Oo, wonderful. I'd only managed to get back to 1995 so far. I was at the library yesterday planning to go through the Gazette archives to get more election results, but spent most of my time in the Local History Fair instead.

Where I was living, and covering the time, when I first became aware of elections. I was living in No. 11 (Scalby) ward from August 1976, then in the new Newby ward from its creation in 1979 until August 1983.
